Tim Simon, from Neosho, Missouri, started playing bass and attending bluegrass festivals at the age of 11. He's played in several bluegrass and country groups around the southwest Missouri area, including the Roots of Grass. His hard-driving bass can also be heard on several recordings made at McCready's studio in Neosho and at other area studios. He's been a regular at the Down Home Country Music Theater in Neosho for the last couple of years.

As a member of Misty Mountain Revival, Tim's bass provides a first-rate rhythm foundation for the group. Strong, but not overpowering, his style is a natural blend with the other instruments.
